Background

Kizito Media was birthed as a business vision in 1993 with the registration of Capricorn Communications Limited. The concept was to exploit all available commercial opportunities in the media globally.

It's Founder and main promoter is Ugandan-born Bishop Edmond Kizito, then a foreign correspondent for international media groups such as Reuters News Agency and the Voice of America, among others.

The company only began operations in 1996, publishing a string of social magazines in East Africa. It grew from a narrow capital base of under $40,000 to an international group worth US$ 4 million, within four months. The plan at the time was to grow a fully-integrated Global Media House.

Newspapers have been developed in the following broad categories:

1) GENERIC NEWSPAPERS

A generic newspaper for the mass market. We follow highly ethical standards.
We do not publish pornography or any other socially offensive attributions including same-sex engagements, child-trafficking or any other abuse of social, cultural or moral norms of any society.

2) FINANCIAL NEWSPAPERS

We develop financial newspapers responding to market demand.

3) NICHE NEWSPAPERS

Niche newspapers according to the predominating tendencies. We have operated in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and South Sudan and will grow further into the region with market progression.

b) WEBSITES

These carry real-time news to subscribers and the Mass Media. Paying subscribers include Media organizations, Institutions – both for profit and non-profit – Agencies, Governments, Non-Governmental Organizations, Communities, individuals, businesses and other entities.

c) ADVERTISING

Our advertising wing provides the open market with cutting-edge products in line with our broad marketing slogan – Tomorrow’s Products Today. The products are always innovative, seeking to gain exclusivity for Corporate, Government and other clients.

This wing publishes Magazines for open market sales and insertion into our newspapers. Others are frequently developed for niche markets on specific demand such as industry newsletters and other client publications including professional bulletins.
It also hosts our Public Relations arm to service clients not benefitting from direct advertising and current other marketing services.

d) RADIO

Our own, comprehensive nationwide Radio network to nurture developing listener tastes.
We also import, install, service and maintain top-notch broadcasting equipment for Radio Stations and service these. We provide a fully-fledged consultancy including a Management Outlay for starting clients interested in the broadcast industry. That includes training staff for tasks in broadcasting.

e) TELEVISION

Our own, comprehensive nationwide Television network to nurture developing listener tastes.
